A beautiful holiday cottage for 2 people near Berwick upon Tweed.

With its close proximity to Holy Island, at Aidanfield Holiday Cottage, we aim to provide you with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable holiday.  The location, a minute from the A1, is perfect for the ideal peaceful get away, with stunning views and beautiful coastline.

Aidanfield Holiday Cottage is a luxurious dog friendly, self catering studio apartment, benefiting from a Visit England 4 star gold award accreditation.  The tranquil village of Fenwick, is situated on St Cuthberts Way.  We are surrounded by fields and open countryside with views over the Kyloe Hills and coastal views towards the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.

Aidanfield Holiday Cottage is ideally situated just five minutes drive from Holy Island causeway with its beautiful National Nature Reserve, National Trust Castle and Priory.  Bamburgh with its  famous  castle is only eight miles away by car.  The historic mediaeval border town of Berwick upon Tweed with its original Elizabethan fortifications, lies eight miles to the north, with the ancient market town of Alnwick with Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden with its beautiful water gardens, just thirty minutes drive to the south.

The property has recently been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and comprises:

Private exclusive entrance with stairs to the first floor, opening onto a large and comfortable living room with a plump sofa and armchair, TV and DVD Player, cast iron wood burning effect electric stove. This is a warm and inviting space to relax.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook and dine, including eye level oven and separate hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher. Comprehensive range of kitchen utensils and crockery. Integrated dining area with table and chairs.  Use of washing machine.

The Bedroom area has a super king size bed (which can be converted to two single beds if required), ample drawer space, large walk in wardrobe, radio and CD player.

Large luxury bathroom Bathroom with L shaped bath with shower over, wash hand basin with vanity unit and WC. Heated towel rail.  Hairdryer.

Location & Nearby Attractions

North Northumberland has a wealth of historic castles, houses and mediaeval battle sites. Many of which are situated nearby. The historic battle field of Flodden is only a thirty minute drive away and well worth a visit.


Where dependent upon the time of year, it is possible to see over 90 different species of birds. The Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve is also very near, as is The Andy Howey Birds of Prey Centre which is situated at Haggerston Castle.


The property is situated on cycle route (1), the popular route to Holy Island and the coastal cycle path. Cycle hire is available in Berwick upon Tweed.

Sea angling day trips are available from nearby locations.
The Open Championship regional qualifying course at Goswick is a 15 minute drive away. Bamburgh and the Hirsel at Coldstream are also well worth a visit.
Walking & Hiking
The property is situated 200 yards off St Cuthberts Way which intersects with the Northumberland coastal route and is close to Northumberland National Park.
